Dan Meredith Jones joined Commercial Banking as MD of Client Asset Management (CAM) in November 2017. The key priorities of CAM are: firstly, to support the goal of the Commercial Bank through lending value stream leadership; prospecting and pricing initiatives. Secondly, to improve returns through pricing discipline, data-led portfolio management, non-strategic asset management and asset sales/distribution.

In 2016 Dan was appointed MD of Consumer Finance where he was responsible for the overall strategy and led the acquisition of MBNA. The Division comprised of Black Horse, Lex Autolease, Consumer and Commercial Cards, Cardnet and Unsecured Personal Loans.

During his time as Director, Group Corporate Development (2011 – 2016) Dan initiated and led the disposal of non-core assets (over 100 disposals including LBG Australia and TSB), contributing towards a decline in the non-core assets of £200bn over the period.

Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group Dan began his career in M&A at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell then Goldman Sachs before moving to Barclays in 2004 where he became Co-Head of Group Corporate Development. Dan then joined Lloyds Banking Group in 2011 as Director of Group Corporate Development.
