Adam is a member of our economic research team that supports all commercial banking clients. He specialises in macroeconomics, offering valuable insight and guidance in this area. Adam joined Lloyds Bank in 2009 following its takeover of HBOS.
Prior to starting at Lloyds Bank, Adam served as Chief Economist/Head of Research for HBOS treasury services. His other previous roles have included working as Chief Economist for the Halifax Group’s treasury and as an International Bond Strategist at the investment bank Yamaichi. He started his career at the Bank of England as a Financial Markets Economist, later moving to the monetary policy division to compile and analyse the UK monetary aggregates.
Adam is a council member and Fellow of the Society of Business Economists, as well as Managing Editor of The Business Economist. His job involves regular contact with the media, contributing articles to national newspapers, and appearing in the financial press and on television.
